Christmas snowman party favors

Monday, December 24th, 2007

I got this idea from the Stampers in Stitches shoebox swap in November. I just jazzed it up a bit with festive fonts. I made 76 (for each of my 3 kids classmates!). They went over so well, I got a request to make some more for my son’s teacher who also teaches Sunday school. They are adorable. Thanks for stopping by.

Here’s the poems (1 for nice, 1 for naughty LOL)

SNOWMAN KISSES
Snowflakes from Heaven as white as can be!
Can build a snowman for all to see!
He’s cute & cuddly & full of good wishes!
And he wants to give you a bunch of kisses!

SNOWMAN POOP
I heard that you’ve been naughty,
So listen, here’s the scoop…
I’m running short on coal this year,
So here’s some snowman poop!

Baby Girl Scrapbook

Monday, December 24th, 2007

This is a mini book I made for my husband’s cousin. She was expecting a baby girl and I’m happy to say see was born healthy and beautiful on December 10, 2007. While I did not use the entire Simply Scrappin’ Special Delivery Girl kit, I did use extra non-SU cardstock. Except for the first and last page, each are 2-page spreads. Actually, the first and last page are also designed as a spread…they’re just not facing each other in the book as it is a 20-page scrapbook. They are designed to be symmetrical to each other, or I use a mirror image so the layouts are balanced. (I’m anal that way LOL.) Not only is it pleasing to the eye, but it leads the viewer left to right. It also makes it easier to put together. You simply cut from cardstock 2 of each element and then lay them down opposite each other on corresponding pages. I will put together specific dimensions and instructions at a later date. You can case this from the pics. Thanks for stopping by.

Holiday planner

I cased this from SCS (sorry I don’t remember who originally created it). I made these as party favors for my family at our Hanukkah dinner. Everyone was so excited to get one. I love the Brilliant Blue designer series papers. They are perfect for Hanukkah colors. At my house, we celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. We even have a tree decorated with Hanukkah ornaments. Hannukah party favors

I made these party favors for my children’s classes. I cased the idea from a swap at the Stampers in Stitches quarterly event. It’s the Snowman Kisses with the little marshmallows. I’ve also seen it many times on Splitcoaststampers and I just think it’s adorable. I had to make up my own poem since I couldn’t find anything appropriate for Hanukkah (hence the lameness LOL). At our house we celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah and I wanted to get the kids just as excited about Hanukkah as they are for Christmas. I always tell them how lucky they are to get the best of both worlds. I really love how they turned out. I bought the plastic dreidels and Hanukkah gelt at the Party store. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Hanukkah.
