About
I’ve just started as a new Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, but I’ve been scrapbooking for over 7 years. For me, scrapbooking is about capturing moments in time that define your life. I love to try out new techniques, but my work is about feelings and photos. I’m not a follower of trends, so I guess you could call my style somewhat classic. However, I do like to create a vignette in my work. I like my photos, journaling and embellishments to look as they would as objects on a shelf, or laid out on a dressing table. Generally, I like my work to reflect my mood, sometimes poignant, other times humorous. I also  strive to find multiple uses for my projects (it’s gotta serve a purpose, my work must not be thrown away!). I really hate the idea of spending time on something and the recipient doesn’t get it.   I imagine this gets on many a crafter’s nerves LOL.
My inspiration comes from both the big and little in life. Aesthetically, the focus of my work is balance and symmetry. I like to use a variety of sizes and formats (12″x12″, 8″x8″, 6″x6″, mini books, themes, gift albums, cards, and any altered project). I’m a night person, so more often than not, I’m in my craft room at 3 a.m.
I would like to explore more opportunities in design, instruction and publishing. I love to share my passion and enthusiasm with others, especially children (they are much more open to creativity).  It’s all about passing it on!
On a personal note, I’ve been happily married to a wonderful man for 18 years and we have 3 beautiful, frustrating children LOL.Â
Thanks for stopping by!
Karen
